Dance for Camera/Capturing Dance

Her Wrath (2011) Video and Choreography by Melissa Pihos

Her Wrath was shot in Yanceyville, NC in February and March 2011.  Shot in a historic jail and courthouse.

Here is some video I shot and edited for the UNCG Faculty Artist Concert in February 2012. This was early on in my multi-camera shoot process, thus, the quality of the cover shot is not the best. I use a Canon 60D for the closer shots and the cover is shot with a Sony HD camera by a student stage crew member. I love the quality of my close shots, however, the cover is very blown out and  the color quality is not good. I tried to fix it in editing but it was difficult.  It was also difficult trying to match the color of the two shots. Now when I capture dance, I use a 60D for the cover and close-up. Looks so much better!
